For budding entrepreneurs with a social purpose, Start-Up@Singapore’s Social Venture Challenge is the premier competition in Singapore geared to turn ideas into social enterprises and co-operatives. “The new kind of capitalism that serves humanity’s most pressing needs,” as articulated by Muhammad Yunus, social enterprises and co-operatives have been gaining increasing momentum and attention as of late. Here at Start-Up@Singapore, we offer you that opportunity to start a business while making social change a reality.
Our Youth (for below age 21 years old) and Open categories cater to social enterprise ideas waiting to be pitted against each other to win substantial prize money that will effect social impact. In the process, all teams, win or lose, will receive adequate attention from judges and experienced social entrepreneurs so that everyone can venture and make change happen with their identified social cause. With our strong focus on entrepreneurship education, the Social Venture Challenge will go the extra mile teaching aspiring entrepreneurs the necessary knowledge, skills and strategies to wade through the nuts and bolts of starting a business.
